Venue & Travel Information

Conference Location

The conference will be held in Singapore, a compact, well-connected city with a vibrant arts scene and excellent public transport.

Main Conference Venue

Conference sessions will take place primarily at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), School of Music. Located in Singapore’s arts and civic district, NAFA offers well-equipped teaching and performance facilities suitable for paper presentations, workshops, and performance-based sessions.

Further details regarding specific rooms and facilities will be provided closer to the conference dates.

Excursion Venue

Details of the conference excursion venue will be announced in due course.

Travel to Singapore

Singapore is served by Changi International Airport, a major aviation hub with direct flights from many international cities. Once in Singapore, travel between the airport, accommodation, and the conference venue is convenient via public transport and licensed taxis/ride-hail services. Participants will not require internal domestic travel within Singapore.

Accommodation

A range of accommodation options, including hotels and serviced apartments at varying price points, are available within proximity of the conference venue. Further recommendations and practical guidance will be provided in a later update.

Visa Information

Participants are advised to check visa requirements based on nationality via the official Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore website. Invitation letters for accepted presenters can be provided upon request.

Student Travel Note

Singapore is compact, safe, and easy to navigate, which makes it a straightforward city for student delegates. Public transport (MRT trains and buses) is reliable, affordable, and well signposted in English. For budgeting, students may wish to plan for local transport, meals, and accommodation. Lower-cost meals are widely available at food courts and hawker centres across the city, and students may wish to consider sharing accommodation with peers where possible.

If you anticipate any barriers to participation (e.g. travel costs, accessibility needs, or scheduling constraints), please feel free to contact the organisers—where possible, we will try to advise on options and support.
